Craigslist ad to find the baddest ride in Gainesville

Here's an ad I just posted on Craigslist, under "Items Wanted":

HAVE YOU SEEN THIS CAR???1 (corner of NW 39th avenue and 6th street)

Looking for evidence of super-cool ride I saw this morning, turning east on NW 39th Avenue, at the corner of 6th Street across from Stephen Foster Elementary. Car has tasteful orange and blue metallic paint job with flames going towards the back and Gator logo on at least one side. Only saw car briefly on my way to farmers market (Saturday), and could not stop to get a photo.

If you see this car please take a photo and send it to me! I will put it on my blog about Gainesville and the Gators and give you full credit!

Thank you and have a nice day!

Urban Dictionary Jorts Definitions Relating to UF

I have to do some more research into the origin of the word "jorts" to describe life in Gainesville, Florida, but I thought I'd start by sharing some of Urban Dictionary's definitions for "jorts" as they pertain to the Florida Gators.  I do not endorse or agree with any of the definitions, just passing the info along; I will perhaps create my own definition on UD when I am able to express the emotion of "jorts" properly in prose.

3. jorts
jean shorts, such as those worn by male Florida Gator fans at the Georgia-Florida football game.

"Don't talk to him; he's obviously a Florida fan with those jorts he's wearing."

jorks, georgia bulldogs, florida gators, shorts, jeans

6. jorts
Slang for jean shorts. These are most often worn by the fashion illiterate and the fan base of the University of Florida.

Note: This is the correct spelling; see also jhorts.

Hoff: Nice jorts, Snappanutz.
Snapper: Thanks, Hoffa. I was just too hot in my jeans, so I cut them off. I find the look flattering.

jean shorts, denim, gators, steve spurrier, douchebag, lemon party
